HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. D, #1

Dylan Robert Burks was born on Sep. 12th. He was greeted with much happiness by everyone.
Above picture is daddy Chris and below is Dylan. Strong gene pool.

A few "rare" pics of Dylan sleeping. He is getting better, but not a great sleeper.

Dylan likes mommy's milk, the jowls say it all.

Cereal, didn't like it so much at first.
Dylan likes his tongue, and is always finding it.

Mr. D likes to wear big boy clothes like dad

He found his smile at a pretty young age, much to all of our delights.

He loves getting around, his mom was the same way.

Some holidays for Dylan.

Mr. D liked summer time, hanging out with grandpa.

visiting Grandpa and Grandma Burks at their house and going to the redwoods hanging out in the jumperoo
swimming

relaxing

baseball games

This is Dylan's favorite place to ride

Howdy partner, Mr. D can be a "little" expressive

Dylan, you have been a fun grandson and we wish you a Happy big #1 birthday, love grandma and grandpa

FALL IS FALLING FAST

Our fall season seems to be coming upon us quickly. Days are getting shorter. It rained most of Labor Day weekend, definetly a sign that fall is just around the corner. The weather is confused, it's 85 degrees one day and 60 the next. The mornings are brisk. Our Labor Day weekend was fun! Last year we labored on Labor Day weekend, but this year we played. Ryan and Crystal and kids were here, which makes it super fun. On Friday, we went to the Salem Volcanos baseball game with some friends.

GAME DAY. On Saturday we went to the OSU game and won, yaaa. Thanks for the tickets, Ryan. After we came home we watched BYU beat Oklahoma. On Sunday we went to church and then watched a movie at home. Monday the kids left to go home and we went to the movie theater, which we rarely do. It was a GREAT weekend.
Go Beavers!!
Earlier in the week, Kevin and Jim cleared more brush

trimmed low branches from the trees
stacked firewood

added to the gigantic burn pile (this baby's going up in flames)
checked out the garden, sunflowers are a sure sign of falland this pumpkin. I told it that it only has 6 more weeks to turn orange and to "get busy", because sunshine is coming in smaller doses and fall is falling fast.
Hope you are enjoying your fall. It is Jim's favorite season.

. . . when he wants long hair. . . when he has his own dirt bike

. . . when Payton gets her ears pierced without crying

. . . when she starts preschool
