LAST DAY---HOORAY

Today was Jim's last day of radiation. When Jim went to radiation this morning, 2 of the other patients said, "This is your last day, Jim!" They all see each other every morning. A bond is created through the radiation treatments because they understand what each of them is going through. 28 treatments are done and finished. Plus last Friday, Jim went to OHSU and had his 3 month checkup, post surgery. Everything is looking good. Now we just have to wait and see if the radiation has "discouraged" the tumors from growing. Jim has been having nausea for a little over 2 weeks and the "TIREDNESS" is way beyond the word tired. He is excited to "sleep in" until 6am. He has been getting up at 5am every morning for radiation.
They gave Jim this Completion of Radiation certificate. Last week, the nurse had a smile on her face. She knew Jim saw it. She confessed to Jim that his doctor refers to Jim as the "pleasant gentleman". He has been a pretty good patient most the time. He only got "snippy" a few times. He has managed to go to work every morning after his treatments, when I know he would much rather drive home and drop into bed. He has kept up with his church Bishop duties.

HOORAY, HOORAY, HE IS FINALLY FINISHED!! Thanks to all of you who offered your prayers and thoughts and well wishing to Jim. We really appreciated it!
