OTHER MAY-JUNE HAPPENINGS

Also in May, my sister and brother-in-law, Loretta and Ron, came to visit us while we were in California.  We hadn't seen each other in a long time and had a super nice visit.

 Payton graduated from preschool and will be a big Kindergartener this Fall.

 4 teeth lost on the bottom. She's looking quite "gummy".  Maybe by December, all she'll want for Christmas is her 2 front teeth.

 Speaking of teeth, Addison got her 4 wisdom teeth out. Yes, this is a "before" picture. She had a bit of a rough time afterwards.

 Alex has been talking the GIRLS. He really growing up and he will be in his last year at Butte Vista this Fall, then onto High School in 2013.

 Also on June 12, 2012, Marty McFly arrived into "the Future".

 Our garden started producing.

 ONE inch blueberry.

 Father's Day. Kelly and Crystal made his day. Jim has wanted this nerf gun for a long time. It has a 35 round clip.

 Jim loves "nerfing" the grandkids and anyone else that will battle with him.

 Dylan had swim lessons at his daycare. He's ready to go, right down to having the goggles in position. He doesn't look to happy right now, but he loved the lessons.

 Isaac, our nephew got married. He's 3 months younger than Kevin (no pressure Kev).

ALOHA

Kelly and Chris went to Maui in May.  Yes, I am a little behind in my posts to this blog. Jim and I arrived on Mother's Day weekend. Ryan made us a delicious dinner of tri tip and lobster. It's the first time I had lobster barbequed. Everything was so yummy for our tummies.

So Kelly and Chris went off to Maui for 7 days and we "vacationed" with the grandkids.  It's amazing how much our vacations "mirrored" each other. They watched sunsets.

They went to spa dates.

We went to park play dates.

They went to a luau and listened to Hawiian music.

We went to a violin concert and listened to Sophia play her violin.

They went for drives around the island.

We took lots of drives around Yuba City. Taking kids to school, games, shopping and so forth.  Almost our entire driving was chauffered by Addison. Although in August, she becomes a "solo" driver.  There aren't may pics of Addison because she is one busy girl. Owen and Dylan had a short visit to Payton's preschool. They will attend here this Fall.

Kelly and Chris enjoyed the beautiful tropical landscapes.

They visited whale bones.

We visited the Sacramento Zoo (skins and fur attached to the animals)

Kelly and Chris took in the island talents.

We saw the "local" talent. Payton playing tee ball and Ryan coaching.

Game over, can you tell Payton's team lost? They don't officially keep score, but the little kids know. Payton is #13, it's a tradition.  It was Aunt Courtney's number and Alex's also and now Paytons.

During the game, one set of earphones and music, two creative cousins.

Kelly and Chris were poolside a good part of their trip.

And so were we in the hot Yuba City days.
