One of the best ways to get in the Christmas spirit is to remember the reason for the season. In the beginning of December, Jim and I went to Corvallis to our church. They have an annual display of hundreds of Nativity Scenes. Some are traditional.
Some are not.
Some are even in a snow globe.
So many different views and made from all different kinds of material- lots of different woods, glass, pewter, marble, cloth, they were amazing.
This one is about 2 1/2 foot tall.
These ones, small as match sticks.
My favorite, the pewter one.
Also to get in the Christmas spirit, homemade goodie baskets. Our girls do this every year and we hadn't done it in a while. It was really fun to give out a few of these to some of our friends.
The last way to get in the Christmas spirit is to go driving in the snow-covered hills to go see our family. We headed to California from Dec. 21 - Jan. 1.
